White Wu

Prairie WWWW / Manic Sheep

White Wu (Po-Ting Wu) is a member of the Taiwanese experimental rock band Prairie WWWW and the shoegaze/dream-pop band Manic Sheep. He is also a long-time collaborator with artists like Enno Cheng. In addition, he frequently engages in cross-genre collaborations and improvisational performances with artists from various fields, drawing on his diverse influences and strong drive to explore new sounds.

With extensive touring experience, both domestically and internationally, White has frequently performed at major Taiwanese music festivals such as Megaport Festival and Simple Life Festival, as well as renowned international festivals like Japan’s Fuji Rock, Spain’s Primavera Sound, the UK’s Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia, and the Netherlands’ Motel Mozaïque. His band, Prairie WWWW, has also been nominated for and won Golden Indie Music Awards in categories such as “Best Group,” “Best Genre,” “Best Live Performance,” and the “Judge’s Award”. Furthermore, they served as the sound designer for the animated work “Compound Eyes of Tropical” by papier-mâché artist Zhang Xu Zhan, which won awards including “Best Animated Short Film” and “Best Music and Sound” at the Golden Horse Awards and the Golden Harvest Awards.
