Jake Lipiec is a drummer and producer from England. What began as a childhood obsession has since taken him around the world multiple times—a novelty he doesn’t take for granted.
Jake’s distinctive sound draws deeply from breakbeat and sampling culture, blending sonics with a hunger for new, song-serving rhythms. His ‘voodoo grooves’ (Pitchfork) have been described as both ‘hypnotic’ and ‘lyrical’.
Infatuated by the magic of recording, Jake has contributed to various acclaimed records over recent years.
As a producer, Jake’s journey began in pop-up studios along the UK coastline. Taking the values he learned from these organic creative experiences, he set up ‘The Nest’ in London, as a home-from-home studio. Like his playing, Jake’s production style encourages authenticity and individuality in meaningful music.
Currently, Jake is active with the bands ‘King Hannah’ and ‘Kitsch’.
