Growing up in southern Taiwan, called Tainan, at the ahe of 11 he first picked up the sticks and played at a church. What he listened the most when he was little was Chinese church music. It has its own taste and sauce, compared to gospel music and worship music. Jacob later started to pursue his passion for music, he went to the Collective school of music in 2015 and London College of Music in 2018.
In 2018, Jacob and some of his friends started to play some instrumental and fusion jazz tunes in Taiwan, later became the JacobDrumemory band. The band was named after Jacob’s brand JacobDruemory which is primarily sharing drum-and-music-related content on social media with Taiwanese audience.
