Kagan Han is a Dutch/Turkish drummer and percussionist. He is known for his ability to adapt to a variety of genres and his ambidextrous and open hand way of playing the drums.
In his short music career Kagan has already worked with and shared stages with- great artists like Michael Franti & Spearhead, Oleta Adams, Quincy Jones, Yuri Honing, Reno Steba, Oguz Buyuk Berber and Turkish star Volkan Konak. Kagan made his debut on the North Sea Jazz festival at the age of 15 with his fusion/funk band JustJammin. He also played on other venues like Sail 2005, The Uitmarkt festival, Amsterdam Concert building, North Sea Jazz festival (twice) and had many TV appearances like on TRT-INT, Pauw & Witteman, KoffieMax, CNN and many more. Kagan also played for many famous celebrities like Goldie Hawn, Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy( Muse).
The sound of the Istanbul cymbals matches perfectly with Kagan's style of playing.
Kagan is very pleased to become a part of the Istanbul Agop family and to have colleagues like Poogie Bell (Marcus Miller, Erykah Badu) and Cindy Blackman (Lenny Kravitz, Santana).
