Born .1954 in Istanbul. From 1972 to 1976 he studied journalism at Istanbul University and played in various groups while studying rock, blues and Turkish dance music. Since 1978 he has lived in Germany and studied at the Frankfurt Music Workshop drums.
Has an extremely varied musical field of activity are called classical - Ottoman court music, Turkish Folk, Arabic, Flamenco, Funk, Latin and Jazz.
He plays as a drummer and percussionist in various ensembles. Second Banana, Orkestra Orient, The Corsettes, Koem, The Aborigines, Paradonnas, 4 Stück 99, Manzanares, Ensemble Zifafkand, Chris Jarrett Trio, Les Haulz et les Bas, Armonico Tributo Austria, Gary Barone´s Orientet … and played concerts in Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Morocco, Iran and Israel.
He is the author of the drumbook "Turkish rhythms for drums and kudüm" (LeuVerlag), AbrakaDarbuka - Middle Eastern Percussion Volume 1 - 2, Drumming for Kids (drums school for small children), Universal Rhythms for darbuka.
He teaches rhythm and percussion at the JMS Staufen in Südlicher Breisgau, Freiburg School of Music and gives workshops and courses for children and adults.
