Yusuf Çerkez has been working as a professional musician for the last 30+ years. Yusuf has joined the International Nicosia Municipality Orchestra in 2000 as a drummer where he is still working today for the last 14 years. As one of the most sought after drummers in Cyprus, Yusuf Çerkez has a busy concert schedule with the Rock band Rast and Oytun Ersan’s Jazz Fusion Project. The artist has worked with some influential musicians including Rex Richardson, Wycliffe Gordon, Tony Johnes, Okan Ersan, Oytun Ersan, Cagri Sertel, Cem Karaca, Murat Gögebakan, Haluk Levent, Burcu Günes, Rafet El Roman, Burak Kut, Demet Akalin, Asim Can Gunduz, Altay, Ali Guven, Metin Senturk, Baha and many more. The talented artist is also teaching drums at Yamaha Music School, North Cyprus. He has given many workshops around the country. Yusuf Cerkez is currently an official artist endorser for Istanbul Cymbals and Cympad USA.
