Having a father who is a drummer/percussionist and a mother who sings and acts has its advantages. Christopher grew up being exposed to everything from Frank Zappa and Igor Stravinsky, to King Crimson, The Who, Weather Report, The Beatles, and Mahavishnu Orchestra. By the age of 4 or 5, the budding drummer showed enough interest to have his dad show him some basics. School bands, garage bands, private lessons, and exposure to every kind of music under the sun engaged his rapt attention. It still does, every day.
Since relocating to Los Angeles he has been making a name for himself as a chameleon who is comfortable and confident in pretty much any situation: live or studio. Small club or big theatre. Intricate charts or spur of the moment idea.
He splits his time up among a wide variety of artists including Circe Link, The Cinematographers, Uncle Daddy, Jesse Macht, Deb Tala, Tyrone Wells, Michelle Featherstone, Ken Stacey, Vox Lumiere, and Safir Aerial.
Christopher works with producers including Michael ‘Smidi’ Smith (Jordan Sparks, Ke$ha, Mozella, Tyrone Wells), Mike Butler (Lynda Kay, Box Masters), Guy Moon (composer for ‘Fairly Odd Parents’, ‘Ren & Stimpy’, and owner of Moon People Music), Meghan Toohey (Weepies), Milo DeCruz (Dudley Saunders, Micah Green), and Aaron Tap (Jesse Macht).
The 80-plus album recording performances to his credit are based on a variety of factors including his “vast knowledge of sounds and styles” (Guy Moon), and “impeccable time, feel, tone, and taste, overall musicality, creativity, and positive energy” (Mike Butler).
Road work experiences include regional club and theatre shows, national theatre tour engagements, and international jaunts including Canada, Mexico, Barbados, and Portugal.
Christopher has also been active doing commercial and jingle work. His drumming has been heard on TV spots for Coca-Cola, Discovery Channel, Hanes, Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion, and Expedia. He has also been on a variety of commercial music used by NBC, ABC, ABC Family, and the Disney Channel.
Christopher proudly uses and endorses: Ludwig Drums, Istanbul Agop Cymbals, Attack Drumheads, Vater Drumsticks, POPercussion Cajons, and B-Band Electronics.
