Born in February 1983 in Kiel, Germany, Marco started banging on pots and pans at the age of 4. Playing air drums to his favorite artists and their records like The Beattles, Sting, Led Zeppelin or Miles Davis, he learned the drum parts by listening and trying on his own. Quickly Marco adopted a rather wide repertoire of drummers and their drumming and was soon asked by local bands to join them. Through the years Marco played in a variety of musiclally more challening bands in his local area. At the age of 15 he got drum lessons by Jost Nickel, Udo Dahmen, Tim Engel and Curt Cress. Here he learned rudiments, technique, reading skills and more reportoire. Marco droped out of school when he turned 18 and moved to Hamburg to visit the „Popkurs“ (Kontaktstudiengang Popularmusik) at the music conservatory. Here he made his first contacts to the german music industry.
Very soon he was able to make a living with playing drums. Marco is asked by several well known, mostly german pop artists and producers to play drums on tour and studio sessions all over Europe and the UK, like:

Santiano, MiMI, Anna Depenbusch, Johannes Strate, Heinz Rudolf Kunze, , Stephen Street, Gordon Raphael, Franz Plasa, Jan Josef Liefers, Pohlmann, Niels Frevert, Johannes Oerding, Tic Tac Toe, X - Factor (Germany) TV Live Shows, Yvonne Catterfeld, Andreas Bourani, Patrick Nuo, Roman Lob, Jennifer Kae and many more.
In cooperation with sound engineers Marco has his own small studio space where he often records drum tracks on demand.
