Eamon Ferris, a Belfast based drummer, began to take an interest in music from an early age, acquiring his first bodhran at just 9 years old. After an early introduction to Bodhran and tin whistle, Irish traditional music was his first discovery of group playing and collaboration. After only a couple of years he later pursued the drum set and set upon following in his father's footsteps. He began taking lessons at the age of 11, and by his early teens, was playing in bands at local gigs at every opportunity available.
Eamon has been honing and carving a career as a professional session musician for the past 20 years playing and performing hundreds of gigs, studio recording sessions, album recordings and television appearances alongside world renowned artists such as Sinead O’ Connor, Van Morrison and most recently, Mike Scott and The Waterboys, with a busy schedule ahead as we lead into 2025.
