Born in 1989, Dimas Pradipta went to Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, California, to study Drum Performance and continued his education path to University of Pelita Harapan in Indonesia to further enhance his study in Performing Art & Production Management and graduated with honors.
Dimas has played with a lot of well known Indonesian musicians such as Glenn Fredly, Tohpati, Benny & Barry Likumahuwa, Bams, Kunto Aji, Aminoto Kosin, Ruth Sahanaya, Monita Tahalea, Dian HP, Fariz RM, Bass G, Mondo Gascaro, Danilla, Sandhy Sandoro, Andien, Rendy Pandugo, and Addie MS .
Aside from being known as a drummer, Dimas is also recognized as a music producer and a recording engineer. In 2011, Dimas started Sum It! Productions, his very own production house, where he produced albums for fellow Indonesian musicians, such as “Hemiola Quartet”, “Rekam Jejak Vol. 1 Feat. Benny Likumahuwa”, “Feel Good Collective”, “Adinda Shalahita”, “Gift of Light”, “Barry Likumahuwa : Octonary”, “BiancaDimas : Seperti Selamanya”, “Gerald Situmorang Trio”, “Jordy Waelauruw : Stand Still”, “Chikita Fawzi : Dimulai Dari Mimpi, “Rayi Putra : The Introduction”, “Sound Of Hope”, “Bass G : Baciare”, “CJR : Ada Cinta di SMA”, and many more. His first solo album “TND” with Tommy Pratomo was nominated for Best Jazz Instrumental Artist & Best Jazz Album on AMI Awards in 2016.
