My name is Ryan Moran. I am a musician. I have been playing drums since the age of twelve. I have been playing drums for Stoopid since summer of 2003. I love music of all types, art, poetry, and more. I love to surf. Surfing and music have always been my favorite things to do. I grew up in northern California, in San Rafael, 15 miles north of San Francisco. After high school I attended San Diego State University. I majored in music there, and graduated with a B.A. in music and liberal studies. My studies at SDSU opened me up to a variety of styles and theoretical ideas that have become staple elements to me. I have lived all over San Diego since 1994. I have been on the touring heavily since 1996 with various bands. I am a substitute teacher here in North County for the San Dieguito District. I sub for junior high and high schools in all subjects all over the area. When not on the road, you can find me at the beach or in the studio...
I've been around the world with Stoopid. This year we've started going international more consistently. In 2006 we have been to Australia, Japan, Guam, England, Netherlands, Portugal, Canada, and just about every major city in the US. Life on the road is great.
