Born and raised in Beijing, China. Yongheng started his career as a drummer at age 19. After 17 years of playing with China’s well-known rock artists such as: Cui Jian, Ai Jing, The Second-hand Roses, he spent two years studying at Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen, The Netherlands.
Yongheng is now a drummer, composer and producer back in Beijing, China.
Known for his studio works and versatility, Yongheng has played drums/ percussion on over hundreds of records and thousands of concerts, from Pop & Folk to Jazz & avant-garde, from Sinne Eeg & Chieli Minucci to Faye Wong, he has been busy touring and recording all across the country.
More recently, Yongheng has been working on recording with Radio Mars, producing his own projects, and touring with rock artist Wang Feng.
